The Therapeutics in Dentistry, Pain & Pain Management CPD Masterclass aims to explore the range of current medications and other therapeutic treatments applicable to general dentistry.
The module affords working practitioners the opportunity to assess their own therapeutic and pain management treatment practices and consider alternative or updated medications or plans. Therapeutics in dentistry, pain and pain management brings the focus back to the principles of diagnosis and prescribing, pharmacology, under and over prescribing and pre- and post-treatment pain management.
This Masterclass represents 3 CPD hours.

Clin A/Prof Mark Schifter
Mark Schifter is a Clin A/Professor in Oral Medicine, School of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine and Health, The University of Sydney. He obtained his specialist qualifications in Oral Medicine, also from the University of Sydney in 1998. He also holds Memberships (by examination) in Special Needs Dentistry and Oral Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Fellowships in Oral Medicine (by examination) from the Faculty of Dentistry, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (FFD RCSI (Oral Med)) and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS (Oral Med)). He is the current Convenor/Coordinator of the specialist-training program in Oral Medicine of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sydney.
