Participants will be introduced to the latest in scientific and design considerations in the clinical use of fibre-reinforced composites. The forum also provides an opportunity to interact and engage in analysing and evaluating the advantages and drawbacks of fibre-reinforced composites in dental practice.

  • Dr Abdul Samad Khan

    Associate Professor, Department of Restorative Dentistry, College of Dentistry, Imam Abdulrehman Bin Faisal Univsersity Dammam, Saudi Arabia Science. Dr. Abdul Samad Khan, currently working as an Associate Professor of Dental Biomaterials at the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences, College of Dentistry, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Khan did BDS in 1999 from Pakistan, and later, MSc. Dental Materials and Ph.D. Material Sciences in 2005 and 2009, respectively, from Queen Mary University of London, UK. He worked as a Research Assistant with Doxa AB, Sweden, and did a post-doctorate in 2013-14 from the University of Sheffield, UK. He was awarded with FHEA in 2021 and FDS RCPS (Glasgow) in 2022. From 2010-2016, he worked as an Assistant/Associate Professor at Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Biomedical Materials, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, Pakistan. He is associated with many institutes as a visiting faculty member, supervising Ph.D., MPhil, and postgraduate Fellowship students. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and received research grants from national and international funding organizations.

  • Dr Muhammad Amber Fareed

    Professor of Restorative Dentistry College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University Ajman, United Arab Emirate. Dr. Muhammad Amber Fareed is a Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the College of Dentistry Gulf Medical University Ajman UAE. He graduated from Lahore Pakistan in 2001 followed by his M.Sc. from the Queen Mary University of London UK in 2005 and PhD from the University of Birmingham UK in 2009. Prof Fareed also holds a couple of prestigious Fellowships from Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) Sydney Australia and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow UK. He is also a member of the International Committee of the RACDS. He has an extensive experience in academics and in clinical dental practice in Pakistan, Oman, UK and UAE. He has presented and published numerous peers reviewed research articles, book chapters, abstracts and scientific talks both nationally and internationally.
