The Annual Scientific Meeting of the RACDS International Committee will focus on exploring the latest advancements and trends in contemporary dental practices within the digital era. This meeting serves as a platform for dental professionals around the world to come together and share insights, research findings, and experiences related to the integration of digital technologies in dentistry. With the theme “Contemporary Dental Practices in the Digital Era,” the conference will delve into a wide range of topics, including digital diagnostic tools and materials, innovative treatment planning and execution techniques, computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) applications and more. Dr. Benjamin R. Robertson
BDSc(HONS), MBBS, PGDiP OMS, FRACDS (OMS), FRCS (OMFS)
Dr Benjamin Robertson graduated from the University of Qld in 2002 with first class honours. He then undertook 2 years of full time general dental practice on the Gold Coast prior to being selected to commence OMFS training in Melbourne in 2005. He then completed his Postgraduate Diploma in OMFS in 2005, Medicine from the University of Melbourne in 2008 and his FRACDS(OMS) fellowship in 2013 having rotated through Brisbane and Melbourne’s tertiary OMFS departments. In 2014 he returned to Melbourne to undertake the prestigious Dentofacial Deformity Surgery fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. In 2015, he then relocated to Liverpool, UK to undertake his Craniofacial Surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. He also was successful in attaining his FRCS(OMFS) fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Subsequently, due to his success during his fellowship, he was then offered a consultancy position at Alder Hey undertaking the life-changing surgery until 2020. The pandemic resulted in him returning to Brisbane where he undertook paediatric OMFS surgery at the Queensland Children’s Hospital and Head and Neck Surgery at the Gold Coast University Hospital. He relocated again, back to London, in late 2021 to commence a consultant Craniofacial and OMFS position at the renowned Kings College Hospital. His current day-to-day practice focuses on craniofacial and skull base surgery, correction of dentofacial deformity surgery, complex craniofacial trauma and is lead for complex dental implantology.

Dr. Khalid Almas
Professor (Periodontology)
Prof. Khalid Almas graduated from de’ Montmorency College of Dentistry, Pakistan. He has Masters in Periodontology and DPH from University of London. He is a fellow of RACDS, RCSEdin, and RCPSGlasgow. He has taught at DMCD, Pakistan, KSU, Saudi Arabia, NYU, and UConn School of Dental Medicine, USA. Currently, he is a Professor of Periodontology, at IAU CoD, KSA. He is an Examiner for universities in Malaysia, Sweden, Sudan and Pakistan. He has published 260 articles with more than 8000 genuine citations. He has co-edited books on Dentistry, Implantology and Periodontics. He is among the top 2% of the World’s Scientists.

Prof. Dr Adnan Ali Shah
Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Department of of Dental Diagnostic and Surgical Sciences
Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Department of Dental Diagnostic and Surgical Sciences Dr. Shah earned his undergraduate degrees in Science and obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from de-Montmorency College of Dentistry, Pakistan, Master of Dental Surgery in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Dr. Shah is board-certified and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Australia, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, Royal College of Dentist of Canada and Diplomate American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Currently, he fostered his career-long interest in undergraduate and graduate education, research and clinical practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Shah at the University of Manitoba in 2009 as Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and department head of DDSS where he continues to teach undergraduate and graduate students. He has published and presented in national and international journals and conferences. Dr. Shah joined ASC in 2016 and enjoys the fulfilling experience and respectful working environment with staff and patients.

Dr Salesse Nicolas
Masters in Orthodontics
Dr Salesse Nicolas graduated as a dentist from the University Claude Bernad in Lyon, France. He worked as a general dentist in France before getting his masters degree in Orthodontcs from Mahidol University in Thailand. He later worked as an orthodontist in Cambodia, Vietnam and France. In addition, he was an assistant professor in the orthodontics department of Mahidol University Thailand. Dr Nicolas had given numerous lectures and webinars on the subject of in-house aligner and lingual orthodontics in Thailand, France, US, India, Vietnam, Egypt and many more. He currently works in a private practice setting and he also organises orthodontic courses in various parts of Vietnam.

Dr Ahmad Al Jaghsi
Associate Professor in the Clinical Sciences Department at Ajman University
Dr. Ahmed is an accomplished dental professional and academic, currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Clinical Sciences Department at Ajman University in the United Arab Emirates since 2018. He also holds the position of Visiting Associate Professor at Greifswald University in Germany, specifically in the Department of Prosthodontics, Gerodontology, and Dental Materials since 2019. With a strong focus on research and clinical expertise, Dr. Ahmed has made significant contributions to the field of prosthodontics. His research interests span a wide range of areas, including implantology, digital dentistry, function and esthetic dentistry, patient satisfaction, oral health-related quality of life, dental materials, and health professions education. In addition to his research pursuits, Dr. Ahmed is committed to educating and mentoring the next generation of dental professionals. He actively participates in health professions education, sharing his knowledge and expertise with students and colleagues alike. His teaching approach focuses on incorporating evidence-based practices and fostering critical thinking skills to promote excellence in dental education.
