At the 2019 Annual General Meeting, the membership passed a special resolution to change the Constitution of the College. One of the key changes was with respect to the Board of Directors. From the 2020 AGM, the College Board will be smaller, with 8 Directors elected by the membership and 2 appointed Directors. The emphasis is on a ‘skill-based’ Board.

Board Members are directors of the College, a company limited by guarantee. A balanced Board will include members with a broad range of skills. Nominees are requested to consider the following list of key areas of director expertise and to consider how you could contribute as a company director on the RACDS Board.

  • Board/Corporate Governance
  • Strategy
  • Accounting/Finance
  • Business/Executive
  • Education/Academic
  • Risk management
  • Technical skills (dental)
  • Legal
  • Information Technology
  • Communications
