Have you recently begun your lecturing career, or have research you’d like to present?
Apply now for the Emerging Lecturer Awards for the opportunity to showcase your research and lecturing ability at The Fine Edge of Dentistry Conference 2024.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to present their papers as part of the Scientific Program in Cairns (Cairns Convention Centre) on Saturday, 14 September 2024. The award winner/s will be announced at the end of the conference.
The Award
There will be two awards offered:
- RACDS Foundation Excellence in Research Award – $2,500
- RACDS Outstanding Presentation Award – $2,500
The judging panel may decide to award both prizes to the same individual.
Who can apply?
- Dental graduates from Australia, New Zealand and Asia
- Non-members and members of the College
- You must have graduated from your first dental qualification within ten (10) years of the conference (September 2024)
Presentation
- Does not need to be original research
- Can be any topic of choice
- If presenting original research, it does not need to have been published
- Presentations to be PowerPoint
The presentations will be judged considering both the style and quality of presentation, and for those topics that are based on original research, the research that’s been undertake.
