The Primary Dental Sciences Preparation Course is a designed to help you build your knowledge on the six (6) basic science subjects assessed in the Primary Dental Sciences (PDS) Examination and  prepare you for the exam.

The course combines live webinars hosted by examiners and industry leaders, interactive Q&A sessions and supplementary resource materials including additional pre-recorded lectures, notes and past papers, to offer you a dynamic preparation experience.

Over five weeks, each discipline will host two (2) live sessions, providing invaluable insights into the subject matter, opportunities for discussion and offering examination tips. A live session covering Pharmacology is also included.

 Course Format

  • Live Webinar Sessions: Join two live sessions for each discipline plus one additional lecture for Pharmacology, recorded for your convenience.
  • Supplementary Pre-recorded Lectures: Access 2023 video lectures for each subject upon registration, with PDF notes available on our Learning Management System (LMS).

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, candidates will:

  • Develop a broad understanding of the six basic science subjects as they relate to dentistry, and how to apply that knowledge in the PDS Examination.
  • Develop a clear strategy for study and how to approach the written and viva voce components of the examination.
  • Acquire effective examination skills and techniques to help you succeed in the PDS examination.

  • Per subject: $350 (Upon registration, you can select your preferred subjects. We highly recommend for those who are sitting the PDS Examination for the first time, to enrol for the full course.)

  1. Candidates are required to hold membership with RACDS prior to enrolling – apply for Affiliate membership now. If you hold an active Subscription you are eligible to apply.
  2. Each registered ticket is valid for one person only. No split or shared registrations.
  3. Virtual event/program access details are provided for the registered attendee only and are not to be shared.
  4. The enrolment fee may be refunded as per the RACDS Refund Policy.
  5. Enrolment is valid only for the current year’s course.
  6. The College reserves the right to amend the timing and dates of courses whenever conditions warrant. Where courses are cancelled or postponed, a full refund of the enrolment fee will be issued. The College takes no responsibility for any other costs incurred by the Candidate.
